This set comes with four templates: two flowered, two blank. The blank ones are my favorite—they spawn creativity! My kids created self-portraits with the dough; I couldn’t have been more proud. The close-up holder has two corner pieces that can hold the boards, but the boards are smaller and can’t be held in each corner. They just sit on top. Inside, there is space to hold eight of your non-refillable tubes.
Surprisingly, there was more than enough dough for each of my two kids to complete two projects each. They will not be doing another project, because: 1) they will let this not-dry-so-far dough sit on the boards, and 2) there isn’t enough dough to make a complete second round.
Bottom line: kids have a lot of fun with this; I hope the refills aren’t too expensive.
This particular set comes with four small tubes of dough, an applicator, four project boards, and a plastic storage case. It took a few tries for my daughter to figure out how to make her flowers and squiggles look as pretty as the images on the box, but once she got the hang of it, she ended up making some really nice designs. There was enough dough in the tubes to finish all four boards, and they look good... though they took way, way longer to dry than the "overnight" the box claims.
Overall, this is a fun kit, and I'd definitely recommend Doh Vinci for little artists in the 6 to 10 year-old age range. Just be aware that, unlike regular Play Doh sets that let you play again and again, this is more of a one-time use kind of item. Once the dough is all squirted out of the tubes, you're done, so be prepared to buy more tubes if you want the fun to last.

My only issue: refills. Before getting this anywhere set, I got the peace sign set. It’s been over a week and that dough is still not dried out. It’s sitting on the peace sign, fully pliable. I wish I could open up these tubes and stuff the softer-than-regular Play-Doh back inside. This set comes with four templates: two flowered, two blank. My seven year-old daughter loves art and had a lot of fun with this set. Doh Vinci isn't traditional Play Doh that you can use and reuse...it's more like colored Crayola Model Magic. It comes in little plastic tubes and you use an applicator to squirt it out, almost like decorator frosting, to make flowers, dots, wavy lines, or whatever else you imagine. Once your artwork is complete, you let it dry and display it, or wipe off the dough and start again.
